Open Level Hatha Yoga
A gentle, grounding class with an emphasis on self-care and stress release. We work on breath and movement, first with gentle warm ups, adding more challenges with thoughtful sequences, and ending with deep relaxation. All levels welcome.

Join The Bread Baker of Riverdale in his class on sourdough bread baking. Arnie will walk you through the 36 hour process of making a loaf of bread in just 2 hours.

Stretch and Strengthen
Join us for Stretch and Strengthen, a morning community offering for adults that provides a place for light movement and a chance to connect and socialize with community members.
From 10 - 11am, participants will stretch and strengthen their bodies with seated and standing yoga-like movements (no mat required). Afterwards, we welcome all participants to stick around for a social hour with refreshments.
It’s a fun way to take care of your health and make new friends!

Meditation Class
Discover the simple yet powerful practice of Meditation! This five session series will explore the history and benefits of mindfulness and how these ancient teachings apply to our modern lives. Each session includes a group practice period with step-by-step instruction, exploration of various aspects of practice, and time for discussion. Accommodations for various physical limitations and comfort levels will be given. All are welcome.

Art Class: Cartoons and Comics
Learn how to create cartoons and comic books from a New Yorker cartoonist! With personalized attention, in a supportive environment, you will learn the fundamental techniques of drawing cartoons and comics with your unique artistic voice and self-expression. Spanish Class for Beginners
Learn Beginner Spanish in this fun and interactive course for participants with no prior experience. Our classes will incorporate a mix of grammar instruction, vocabulary building, and opportunities to practice and apply what you learn in a conversational setting. Taught by ABC Languages, a leading language provider, come practice, connect, and have fun learning Spanish in a welcoming environment!

Beginner & Intermediate Piano
The course will focus on building a solid piano technique, focusing on hand position and various keyboard touches (legato, staccato and others). Students will work on scales, ear training and some basic music theory.
The course material is applicable to classical, popular and rock music. The instructor will choose appropriate songs, pieces and exercises for the skill levels of the students.

Drawing 101
If you want to learn how to draw, or seek greater confidence in your ability, this is the course for you! With personalized attention, in a relaxing and supportive environment, students will learn the fundamentals of freehand drawing. Most sessions will begin with a demonstration, followed by the creation of a drawing, and a class critique. Make 2025 your time to draw!

SHSAT Prep Class
This seven session virtual course is designed to prepare your student for the NYC Specialized High School Exam. The spring course is specifically designed for seventh graders. This class will focus on mastering the curriculum covered by the exam, and is great preparation for students taking the exam in the fall.
