In the Neighborhood

Take a Tour of the Neighborhood

This year has been a busy one at Riverdale Neighborhood House. From summer nights listening to Music in the Garden to busy school days in our early childhood classrooms and College Direction Program, over 5,000 people have joined us. As we reflect on the past year, we want to highlight some of RNH’s work that has taken place all over the neighborhood-- in the streets, gardens, and businesses of our community.

Use the interactive map below to learn about RNH’s work in the neighborhood.

Build Community with RNH

None of this work is possible without the generous help of our supporters. Please help us continue to build community across our neighborhood by making a contribution today.

How your support can help:

  • $100 can make 50 warm meals for the Neighborhood Fridge or fund a tea party for our older adult program

  • $250 can install a new pollinator garden bed or deliver hygiene and medical kits to 100 people

  • $500 can fund a free food distribution for 150 people or sponsor a teen’s spot in our lifeguard training program

  • $1,500 can support a teen’s stipend for a summer internship or fund a semester of STEM education for middle schoolers

  • $3,000 can fund a scholarship for a family in our Afterschool Program or support two concerts in the garden

All donations support general RNH programs. Contributions are tax-deductible. Checks can be made to Riverdale Neighborhood House. If there are any questions, please contact info@riverdaleonline.org

About RNH

RNH is of, by, and for its local community. A primary goal of RNH is to strengthen our community in the North West Bronx by delivering programs and ensuring access to resources that build bonds, create networks, and promote equity across generational, cultural, racial, and economic lines.

We are building pollinator gardens in the neighborhood, distributing clothing and resources for asylum seekers, building a local food system, calling homebound older adults across the borough, placing interns at healthcare establishments and providing after school enrichment for 250+ middle schoolers at RKA & IN-Tech.

None of this is possible without the generous help of our supporters. Please help us continue to build community across the neighborhood by making a contribution today.
