Support the shelter distribution efforts in NYC

We will be opening up our doors to accept donations on Saturdays from 10am-2pm.

If you are interested in dropping off items at a different time or day, please email ttaveras@riverdaleonline.org in order to schedule your drop.

 
 

Mutual aid organizations such as La Morada Restaurant and South Bronx Mutual Aid have been working daily to distribute clothing, food, water, and other daily human necessities for asylum seeking families. All contributions and donations will be delivered to these organizations or their affiliates for distribution.

Riverdale Neighborhood House will be accepting the following on Saturdays starting November 12th through December 17th:

  • Clothing (new or gently used/in good condition) — socks & underwear (new only!), sneakers for all, winter gear for all (especially baby snowsuits), kids clothing, women/mens clothing, gloves, and hats.

  • Hygiene Items (new) — shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shavers, lotion (huge need at the moment), hair brushes, combs, shaving cream, towels, etc.

  • Snacks and shelf stable food — Granola bars, cereal, protein bars, etc.

  • Toys — New/gently used & washed plush toys, dolls, action figures, small cars, etc. (We are not accepting battery operated toys/video games at this time)

Our volunteer registration is closed for Saturday, December 17th.
