Natural Dye Workshop

Registration is required and your ticket helps to cover the cost of materials, as well as light snacks and refreshments. Everyone will leave the workshop with a few treats from our garden and a naturally dyed cotton handkerchief.

Saturday, July 30th we’ll be collaborating with Morning Glory Community Garden to host our first art workshop here at Riverdale Neighborhood House! From 5pm-7pm we’ll be working with natural dyes using ingredients from our farmers market surplus, the garden at RNH, and vibrant flowers from Morning Glory.

ABOUT OUR PARTNER: Morning Glory Community Garden

Morning Glory is a community garden in the South Bronx whose mission is to sustainably meet the food needs of our community through urban agriculture.  Morning Glory seeks to establish itself as an integral part of the urban food shed through their food distribution and education efforts. We can’t recommend visiting their garden enough — and if you do, take some time to learn more about their harvest boxes which are distributed directly from their garden to homes in their community. Thank you, Cayla for taking the time to partner with us on this project!
