Artist Talk with Daniel Hauben

Daniel Hauben’s Artist Talk

On Monday January 6th, Riverdale Neighborhood House will be hosting an Artist Talk with Daniel Hauben at 7 PM. Born, raised, and still living in the Bronx, Daniel Hauben's lifelong artistic focus has been the landscape, and especially the urban landscape. He has had over thirty national and international solo exhibitions, including at the Bronx Museum. Mr Hauben has also been teaching painting and drawing in Riverdale for 33 years. His work is in the collection of: The Bronx Museum, The Museum of the City of New York, New York Historical Society, Library of Congress, White House, and New York Public Library.

Daniel Hauben’s talk will explore his five-decade career painting Kingsbridge and Riverdale. His earliest cityscapes depicted the view from his window, facing west across the Major Deegan, and up the hill to Riverdale. Mr. Hauben has explored the world near and far, in paint, and has come back again and again and again to paint the neighborhood he knows best.

There is no fee for the talk, but there will be an option to donate at the door to RNH art programming. RSVP for the talk using this form.

Also, be sure to check out our new Drawing 101 class which will be taught by Daniel Hauben. The class will be Thursdays at 7 PM from January 9th to February 6th. Register here.
